The Museum of the Sea and Salt is primarily ethnological and explains the complex relationship between the sea, salt and the people of Torrevieja. You will find a variety of attractions within the museum, amongst which of particular note, are the items made in the museum’s workshop. As well as maintaining and restoring the different museum exhibits, it produces exquisite work that reflects many aspects of city life. It is regarded as the most important museum of the city.
The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday, closed on Mondays and Public Holidays. On Tuesday and Sunday, it is open for half day from 10am to 2pm. On Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday it is open from 10am to 2pm and again from 4.30pm to 8pm.
It’s a small museum; you will have discovered all of it within 15 to 30 minutes. Entrance is for free.
The museum houses many interesting exhibits.
